The Fifth Presence
Not welcomed. But witnessed.
An alien station repeats a rhythm from Decker Simms’s childhood. As a cautious connection develops across its walls, pressure to produce measurable proof divides his crew. Decker must decide how much of himself to offer, and how to protect an encounter that the authorities may never recognize as contact.
